Who we are
This website, glenmorecarnegie.com, and the Glenmore Carnegie club are run by Glenmore Carnegie FZCO, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"). Our wholly owned subsidiary in China is Rosso Otto Wine & Beverage Trading (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. For anything in this notice, contact us at info@glenmorecarnegie.com.
What we collect, and why
- Membership requests: when you ask to join the club we collect what you tell us: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the kind of client you are, your organisation, role and website if you represent a business, the market you would like us to serve you in, your interests, who introduced you and anything else you choose to add. We use it to review your request, to contact you about it and, if you are invited, to set up your membership. We do not ask for identity documents or evidence of wealth.
- Enquiries: when you send an enquiry through the website we collect your name, contact details, company if relevant, your interests and your message, and use them to reply and to handle your enquiry.
- Member accounts: if you accept an invitation, we keep your name, email address, member number, market, language and currency preferences and a securely hashed password (never the password itself). We also keep the records of your membership that the club manages, such as qualifying spend, tier, holdings and the requests you send us, so that we can provide the membership and show it to you in the members area and the app.
- Emails we send: we email you to confirm a request or enquiry, to send an invitation, and about your membership. We only send news about releases and events if you have opted in, and you can opt out at any time.
- When you email us: your name, email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it to reply and to handle your enquiry.
- Analytics, only if you agree: Google Analytics 4 tells us which pages are visited, how long for, the type of device and browser, the approximate location (country or city) and how visitors found the site. We use it to improve the site. Google signals and advertising features are switched off.
- Security records: to protect accounts we keep sign-in sessions, limited records of sign-in attempts and an audit of actions taken by our staff. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.
We use your information because you have asked us to do something (respond to a request or enquiry), to provide the membership you have accepted, because we have a legitimate interest in vetting requests and running the club securely, or because you have given your consent (analytics and marketing email). Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Analytics cookies are only set after you choose "Accept analytics". Everything else on this site works without them.

Who else sees your information
Only our team and the service providers who run the site for us see your information: our hosting provider, which runs the servers, the membership database and the mailbox our website sends email from; Microsoft, which hosts our info@glenmorecarnegie.com mailbox where membership requests and enquiries arrive; and Google, which provides analytics if you agree to it. Where it is needed to provide a membership in your market, we may share the details of a request with our subsidiary in China or with a licensed distributor that arranges the purchase. We do not sell personal information.
Where your information is kept
Our website, membership records and email are hosted by these providers in data centres that may be outside the country where you live, including in the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States, under their data protection safeguards. If you are in mainland China, we only transfer your information outside mainland China with your separate consent, which we ask for when you make a membership request.
How long we keep it
- Membership requests: while we review them, and for up to 24 months after a decision unless you become a member.
- Enquiries: for as long as we need them to deal with the enquiry and for our business records.
- Member accounts: for as long as you are a member, and afterwards only as long as the law requires us to keep financial and commercial records.
- Emails our website sends: the content is deleted once the email has been sent; a delivery record without the content is kept for up to 180 days.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, the Personal Information Protection Law of mainland China and the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent you have given. Members can also ask to close their account from the app. Email info@glenmorecarnegie.com and we will respond. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when the site or the club changes. The date and version at the top show the latest version, and if a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you.
